Mountainous Banat
Travels and discover a part of Romania that seems to have forgotten to be active, but that has kept its spirit alive.
Mountainous Banat
Mountainous Banat
Today, the mountainous Banat means some natural parks and nature reserves that hide in the thickets of the forests some jewels of mountain lakes and systems of keys and caves as they are not found in the Romanian mountain landscape. Come and bathe in mountain lakes with clear water, to explore roads too little walked by tourists today, to know villages of the historical communities established here – Czechs, Saxons, Hungarians, Serbs – active and populated. An industrial area on the edge of the wilds of the Semenic and Anina mountains. An area little used by tourists due to the lack of accommodation or restaurants so popular in other parts makes the Banat mountains a paradise for wildlife, bike tours and hiking from cave to cave.
